COMMUNITY DAY

Community Day will be held on Saturday, July 3,2010. Our theme for this year is “Safety First”.

If you or your group are interested in taking part in our parade, please contact Nancy McConnachie at 488-2609.

Again this year,for liability reasons, there will be no animals in the parade.

A large crowd gathered at the Anthony Flower Museum on August 9 (2008) for a sneak preview.

The museum features the life and work of Anthony Flower (1792-1875), presented in the artist's original homestead. Descendants of Anthony Flower were in attendance, making for an even more poignant celebration.

Pines Conservation Park Open!

to the public on August 9, 2008. An enthusiastic group of supporters were in attendance as Mayor Peter Knight and councillors Shena Hornell and Jack McLaughlin cut the ribbon.

A free corn boil followed the ribbon cutting and those present also took great interest in the historical photo collection depicting life among the pines.

The park is open daily to the public from dawn to dusk. You are encouraged to walk through the forest, have a pcinic, play in the field or enjoy the shoreline.
